Current Education Projects
As a composer, arranger and performing musician I have a broad range of musical knowledge and experience which I draw on when leading creative workshops and projects. Education work forms an important part of my career; here is a selection of my current education projects.

Venue Cymru Young Composers
If you are a young musician interested in writing your own music, learning new skills and performing your new compositions with other like minded musicians then this is the project for you!
During the Summer and Autumn of 2021 I will be leading a series of composition workshops at Porth Eirias in Colwyn Bay in collaboration with Venue Cymru. Everyone is welcome to join in regardless of what you play or sing, and whatever experience you have writing and performing your own music.

Aurum - Golden Light
St Asaph Cathedral - Sept 2021
The North Wales International Music Festival is based in St. Asaph cathedral and this year we are back delivering the Young Musicians Workshop in person! I am very grateful to the festival’s Artistic Director Ann Atkinson who has once again commissioned me to write the piece for musicians from NEW Sinfonia, Denbighshire Music Co-operative and Canolfan Gerdd William Mathias to perform alongside local young musicians from North Wales. The title for the new piece is ‘Aurum - Golden Light’ as the festival celebrates its 50th Anniversary this year. It is wonderful to be working with the festival, local music teachers and students on such a large scale project again and I can’t wait to see the students buzzing from playing in a huge orchestra together!
